Eco somatic healing therapy blending deep ecology, animism, and trauma-informed nervous system awareness

Slow and steadily-held sessions that support your autonomy, discovery of self, and return to wholeness

EXPLORE A CONNECTION ꕀ

What is nature therapy? And why a nature based therapist?

Living Earth is whole: robust, interconnected, unquestioning, and accepting. She allows her languid 24-hour rotation, absorbing the seasons, daylight and darkness, surviving droughts and destruction, and housing those who rest, play, and reside on her surface – all the while sustained by her wholeness.

She exists without inner-scrutiny, never apologizes for how she arrives, and remains the steady source of living Earth’s relational regulator – nature.

As a nature based therapist, I’ve absorbed and digested the gentle guidance, radical slowness, and relational nature of healing through eco somatic practice. The quiet hum of a nervous system that steadies itself, a mind that hushes the push-pull chaos of ‘I should’, ‘I must’, and ‘I have to’, and a calm quelling of the constant responsibility to otherness.

Otherness being the consuming pull of corporate productivity and solitary burnout, feverish disconnect lit up in blue, life’s avalanche of extrinsic demands, and the collective grief that ebbs at our conscience – living Earth’s mistreatment is not dissimilar to the centuries-long oppression, violence, and injustice absorbed by women, Indigenous peoples, the global majority, and non-human beings.

The careful concept of wholeness.

Eco somatic nature immersion sessions are a form of earth and body-led healing therapy involving nature-based guidance, gentle movement, relational witnessing, and creative integration, delivered by a qualified Eco Somatic Guide

This approach gently addresses anxiety, burnout, disconnection and dysregulation at a physiological level, in arrangement with nature and ecological rhythms, rather than cognitively in a clinical setting.

IN PERSON ONe-ON-ONE

Eco Somatic Nature Sessions

As a nature based therapist with lived experience inside a body under prolonged stress, it was important that my somatic healing therapy sessions reflected the symbolic needs of women navigating burnout, illness recovery, caregiving fatigue, and/or long periods of survival and stress.

Each nature immersion session is 90-120 minute 1:1 in-person, held outdoors, in natural environments (parks, forests, beaches, or near water) around the Gold Coast, Queensland.

Sessions are not prescriptive, as this pushes against your autonomy, on-the-day nervous system capacity, and the concept of self-determined safety. However, I can share that sessions may include elements such as:

꩜ Gentle nature walking
꩜ Quiet observation of the surrounding environment
꩜ Deep listening and moments of silence
꩜ Breath and body awareness practices
꩜ Simple somatic movement
꩜ Emotional release exercises
꩜ Reflective writing, poetry, or journalling
꩜ Nature-based creative practices like earth art
꩜ Integration conversation
꩜ Closing with a warm herbal tea ritual

 Virtual Eco Somatic Healing Therapy:

While meeting online is not my preferred way to offer eco somatic guidance, I appreciate that there are many geographical, physical, and/or health limitations that may block in-person work.

Broadly speaking, nature tends to be a universally accessible vessel for connection – so please reach out to discuss whether this format may be supportive for you.

IN PERSON GROUP SESSIONS

Creative Group Nature Workshops & Forest Bathing Walks

The principles of nature-based creative practice can be accessed in small group workshops and walks of up to 10 participants. These in-person get-togethers are held outdoors, in natural environments (parks, forests, beaches, or near water) around the Gold Coast, Queensland.

A different ecological theme, topic, or art form becomes the foundation for each intentional connection opportunity – allowing an immersion into painting, earth art, writing, sound healing, and more where curiosity is the only criterion.

Leaning into the power of shared presence and relational healing alongside other women, these small group get-togethers may include:

꩜ Slow group nature walks
꩜ Painting
꩜ Earth art
꩜ Sensory awareness practices
꩜ Writing and journaling
꩜ Shared quiet presence in nature
꩜ Reflection and optional group sharing
꩜ Creative or grounding practices
꩜ Sound healing or other complementary practices with likeminded practitioners
꩜ A closing tea ritual

WORKSHOPS COMING SOON!

It’s imperative I mention these group workshops and walks are private, non-performative, and present experiences. There are no simulated “energetic releases”, filming is not permitted, and phones are discouraged to protect the tender and personal nature of true reconnective work.

“My background in psychology, nursing, and ongoing studies in nature-based nervous system support, somatic excavation & guidance, and parts work have provided me the tools to explore relational re-connection. Today, I bring everything I’ve lived and learned into my work as a nature based therapist and eco somatic guide.”

READ MORE OF MY STORY

Both personally and professionally, I endeavour to move, relate, and provide guidance in a way that always causes the least possible harm. As an Ecosomatic Guide, I offer supportive, nature-based nervous system work – not clinical, medical or therapeutic interventions.

My Eco somatic nature immersion sessions are a tender, compassionate, and complementary-level support for nervous system tending, reflection, and reconnection with nature – alongside existing therapy, psychiatric care, and/or medical treatment you may be receiving.

To ensure you are receiving the right level of support to meet your care, consideration, and healing needs, you may be asked to seek additional professional support if it becomes apparent your needs fall outside the scope of my practice as an Eco Somatic Guide.

Boundaries & Transparent Disclosures

My role is to guide the experience and hold a supportive container, rather than diagnose, analyze, or treat you.

"Natalia is someone who genuinely cares about helping people. During our walk & talks, she is always fully present in the discussion, provides a safe space to be myself, and always shows patience and kindness. You can feel that she is someone who's done a lot of the internal work in order to hold space for others. I always leave feeling lighter, more grounded & connected to myself and the world around me. "
